Word Problem With Multiple Equations

On both the SAT and ACT Math tests you’ll likely see a question of this type where you have to generate and solve two equations from the information given to you in the problem. This particular question type is a good one to become familiar with because it’s basically a free point!

Try out this problem and then watch the solution. Note: Even though this problem comes from an ACT Math Test, SAT students will also see problems like this, so everyone should try this one!
