Scholarships for Reason Prep
It’s been my mission since I founded Reason Prep to offer high-quality test prep for a fair, affordable price. The SAT & ACT test prep industry all too often takes advantage of the anxieties of families and students concerned about college and future success to maximize their own profits.
This is wrong.
Instead, I created my courses to offer the best test prep resources at a price that works for both students (comprehensive test prep without a high pressure sales pitch) and Reason Prep (revenue that will sustain my business so that I can keep helping students).
That said, my main goal is to get my courses into the hands of as many students as possible. And despite the relative affordability of my courses, there are still those students and families who do not have the means to purchase my courses at full price. Because I want to serve as many students as possible, I am proud to offer Scholarships for Reason Prep to help defray some of the cost of these courses.
There are two Scholarship Levels, each with different requirements and a different discount: 10% and 50%.
10% Off Scholarship – Open to All Students
Because I want to reward all students’ initiative and desire to succeed, the 10% Scholarship is open to all students regardless of financial need. Simply follow the instructions below to be eligible for this 10% discount off any course or bundle on Reason Prep.
50% Off Scholarship – For Students With Financial Need
The 50% Off Scholarship is available only for those students and families whose financial situation does not permit them to pay the full cost of my courses. This scholarship is only available in limited quantities and is not guaranteed for all applicants. Please see the application process below.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I get a scholarship?
See the application process below for more details. After your application is accepted, I’ll send you a coupon code that you can use for any of the courses across the site.
Are the features of the courses different for scholarship students?
No! You get full access to all the courses and benefits as listed on the course pages. This includes access to the courses forever for no recurring fee, access to all changes and updates to the courses, access to the courses on all your devices, and access to me (Rob) to ask any questions that might come up during your studying.
Do these discounts apply to your tutoring or extra help?
No. These scholarships can only be applied to any course or course bundle on Reason Prep.
I’ve purchased your courses for full price – can I still get a scholarship?
You can still get the 10% Off Scholarship within 30 days of your original purchase. Just follow the instructions below to apply!
Can I get your courses for free?
I do not offer full scholarships to Reason Prep for two reasons.
First, I can’t give away my courses regularly because I have to run a business and take care of my family. Each student added to my courses costs me more in both time and money, and I need to be compensated for those expenditures in order to make this business viable.
Second, and more important, students and families do need to put some “skin in the game” for best results. In my experience, students are more likely to complete online courses, and thus receive full benefits of the training, when they pay even a nominal fee for the material than if they get it for free. The simple truth is that a course obtained for free is a course that can be abandoned for free. In other words, if you don’t pay anything for a course, you will not value it (even if only subconsciously), and thus likely not complete it. If you’ve paid at least some amount of real money to purchase the courses, however, your valuation of the materials will increase; as a result, you have that much more incentive “to get your money’s worth,” complete the course, and increase your test scores.
In extremely rare cases, I will work with you to fit my courses in your budget if you still can’t afford the courses after the 50% discount. Just let me know in your 50% Off Scholarship application (see below).
